It was a beautiful, sunny morning when we met with Sarah and Phil and Sarah to go through the final details before their wedding. The stunning venue, Tissington Hall, is their choice of reception venue so we met them their to be introduced to Sir Richard and shown round the grounds - there is plenty of scope for some stunning photos!

Next we headed to a popular local beauty spot, The Stepping Stones in Dovedale gorge,  to capture some photos of Sarah and Phil, however, we hadn’t anticipated that the sun would bring the crowds out in such force so we had to do a bit of people dodging with the photos! The walk down to the river made everyone thirsty so we finished off our meeting with a refreshing drink in the gardens at the Izaac Walton Hotel - the lads were particularly fascinated by the small helicopter parked within the grounds!

Sarah and Phil quickly relaxed in front of the camera… this was the first photo we took and they look fab!

We had to wait 5 minutes for a break in the stream of people over the stepping stones to get this shot!

Sarah and Phil were great fun to photograph and we are really looking forward to photographing their wedding. This photo is of them laughing at me wincing as my feet were turning blue standing in the river to take the photo!

At last I have got round to posting some images from Alison and Mike’s pre-wedding shoot! We originally met Alison, Mike and their son, Asher, in September 2006 when Alison was a bridesmaid and we were the photographers at Vicki and Steve’s wedding. It’s lovely to meet up with Alison and Mike again and be part of their own wedding and we will get to see Vicki and Steve again too as Vicki is Alison’s head bridesmaid.

We started the morning in Rolleston-on-Dove to have a look at the beautiful church where they are getting married. Then we headed over to Etwall to check out their reception venue, Blenheim House. Alison & Mike’s two kids, Keighlan and Asher, were with us during the morning and were very patient so we decided the photoshoot location should be a treat for them and we headed to the local playground.

Family fun!

We were blessed with a glorious day of sunshine for Sharon & Neil’s pre-wedding shoot. We met them and their two children, Imogen and Jayden, for the afternoon in Buxton which provided a stunning backdrop for their photos. We started the shoot on the slopes in front of The Crescent in Buxton and then headed over to the Pavilion Gardens. The gardens are a beautiful oasis in the middle of Buxton brimming with colourful flowerbeds, a babbling stream and plenty of people laid out on the lawns making the most of the sunshine!

We actually photographed a wedding within the Gardens in 2006 as the bandstand is licenced to hold small civil ceremonies. It makes a pretty and unusually venue for a wedding (provided the weather is nice) and is the closest you can get to marrying outside in England. There are a few bandstands around the country that are licenced for civil marriage ceremonies and, as a coincidence, Sharon and Neil are also planning to marry in one at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel near Preston.

We ended the photo shoot in the kids play area where Imogen and Jayden were treated to a few goes on the bouncy castle slide there followed by an ice-cream - they were incredibly well behaved all afternoon so definitely deserved it.

We are looking forward to photographing Sharon, Neil, Imogen and Jayden and their family and friends at their wedding next month.

Christy & David took the opportunity of some time on their own (courtesy of grandma babysitting their daughter, Kiera!) for their pre-wedding shoot. Although it was a bit drizzly we headed out to Willow Park to get some fun, relaxed photos of the two of them. Although the rain stopped Christy and I quickly realised that ‘mock’ Ugg boots are not well suited to long, damp grass and we both ended up with wet toes but some great photos to boot!

We are looking forward to Christy and David’s wedding at Goosedale in June.
