Wedding Photographer Nottingham

Burgess Photography is a husband and wife team, Andy and Beccy Burgess, who specialise in wedding photography and album design. We are based in Nottingham in the Midlands but are happy to photograph weddings anywhere in the UK and can also provide bespoke quotes for destination weddings further afield. We aim to capture the fun and emotion of your wedding day in a relaxed and informal style, telling your story through pictures as it unfolds right into the evening. The display of your photographs after the wedding is equally important to us and we design beautiful, bespoke wedding albums in either our Storybook or Imagebook style. Parent albums, framed prints, canvas wraps and other wall art are also available.

There are many styles of wedding photography and Burgess Photography offer a fusion of several of these styles. Wedding photojournalism, also sometimes referred to as ‘reportage’, describes the style of photography where the photographer captures images throughout the day to record the chronology of the wedding as it unfolds. The images are captured in an unobtrusive, unposed, candid manner as a true representation of what naturally happens on the day and the resulting selection of images are used to tell a story of the whole day. For this style the photos should be totally unposed, natural, candid and informal. A large amount of our coverage on the day will be in this photojournalistic, reportage style. However, we recognise that many couples will also want some posed group photographs. We do not take traditional, very formally positioned posed shots; instead we keep groups fun and informal. In addition we like to spend time with the bride and groom to capture some posed candid photographs of you as a couple. We aim to capture a mixture of romantic and intimate images and modern, stylish and funky shots inspired by fashion photography. Above all we want your photographs to represent the fun, emotion, passion, excitement, glamour, drama and love of you - the bride and groom - and your friends and family on your wedding day.

We are passionate about the quality of our photographs. We use professional standard Canon cameras, lenses and flashguns and always carry back-up equipment. We spend time processing all our photographs using editing software and ensure that our computer is calibrated to provide the more pleasing results from the photographic lab that we use for all our prints. We also want to ensure that our images are displayed in the best way possible and so we use high quality professional albums. Our Storybook albums use multipage layouts and colour coordinated underlays and have high quality interleaf between each page. Our Imagebook albums are produced by Graphistudio or Bellissimo from Loxley and are crafted to the highest standards with photographs printed straight onto the page offering a more magazine, coffee table style album.
